BioOil is used as a substitute for fossil fuels to generate heat, power and chemicals. Aapplications include boilers and furnaces (including power stations). With additional processing BioOil can be upgraded to a transportation fuel. A wide range of chemicals can be extracted or derived from the BioOil by use of selective feedstocks or by applying processing technologies
